If you are looking for a instant blend as an introduction to the flavor of chai, this is a great choice! It is an instant mix, so you only add milk (latte) or water (tea). The flavors are nice and the finished product is very fragrant. My daughters both love the flavor of the mix over the Tazo liquid and the Keurig pods. I was a bit disappointed by how much mix I had to add to get the right intensity -- 2 heaping tablespoons for 7oz of liquid! That means a "tall" 12oz drink -- my typical size for 1-a-day -- would require just over 3 heaping tablespoons of mix. After 3 drinks, my container is more than half-empty.
Hi Lisa! Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback!
I've been on a chai kick lately, I must say this is the best I've had! Creamy and light were the words that first came to mind. The container is also sealed well, so it will stay fresh! I keep it out on my counter because its accessible and it looks nice! I suggest you chai it out.
The various spices in this tea-mix are pretty good but I was rather expecting loose leaf tea because I didn't read the description of 'Just add milk or water.' I always brew my own and control the sweetness and so after years, I find this overwhelmingly sweet. I'll try it iced next and see if I like it any better that way.
I am normally a coffee drinker, but occasionally I enjoy a chai in the afternoon. So, I thought I'd give the David Rio Chai a chance. It's super good and it's really easy to make. Now I want to try some of the other ones you carry.
